Well, unfortunately it seems that any jewelry that is to add skill (+5 animal taming, +8 mace fighting, ect.) has become a useless item to those people that have hit their cap on a skill. In talking with the staff it appears to be something they can't fix, so those that have already hit their max will not be able to utilize these items to improve their chances of success. Personally I think this stinks, but if it can't be done, it can't be done...oh, well. I have a suggestion though, and it was actually Enolive's idea, but i figured i would post for him . Anyway, on another shard we were on, there was a stone that was placed in town that was a reward stone. Basically, you got "credits" for turning in magic items and arti's that you no longer wanted or needed. With these credits, you had a list of things that you could choose from, obvioulsy the nicer stuff cost more credits. It is sorta like your custom token idea, but you don't have to donate cash or participate in a quest to get them. It would be a stone that you click that brings up a gump asking what you want to donate, then it returns the proper number of credits (or custom tokens). You could put artis, PS's, or the items that you have listed in the custom token spot as the rewards for turning in the credits. This would not only give us credit (based on the rarity, or strength of what we are donating) for things that we can no longer use, but it would also lessen the item count and keep people from hording all kinds of useless stuff. Or, if you just want to keep it limited to jewerly, have a way that we could donate jewerly, and it keeps track of the skill that it was to add to, as well as the + amount of the jewelry. Once you get to a certain + amount with donations, you can redeem it for a PS of that skill. Something like +500 in jewerly addons would get you a +10 PS for that skill.
One final idea as well for us LOWLY tailors. It seems there is a bit of an advantage to be a Blacksmith as opposed to a Tailor....more craftable arti's, ADDONS that will boost the BS skill ( ancient smith hammer +30), and not to mention you can get the ancient smith hammer by doing a single small BOD. Tailors have only one type of craftable arty, they have no item that can boost their skill for making the more difficult things (i am 120 tailor, and i only have a 57% chance to make arty armor with 17% of that to be exceptional), and the only way a tailor can get a runic sewing kit is by completing one of the HARD large BOD's....the only thing we get with small ones is a gay set of folded cloth. Not to mention, half the time when i do a LARGE BOD, i get a d**n bear skin rug deed (which i can craft for myself, so why is that a reward?). It would just be nice to see a balance between the two major crafting skills and have some rewards for that match with the time and effort it takes to do these large BODs. Thank you for your time.
